So the job I will talk about today was located in Hopewell Junction, New York. The homeowner decided she wanted to change the shower, there was an existing fiberglass enclosure with a fiberglass basin that needed to be removed. We work with a plumber so I had him come in and remove the faucets, toilet bowl and drain to basin. We then took a saw to the fiberglass walls to cut them out and pulled out the basin. We installed a mold proof and 100% waterproof system called Wedi, which is composed of a prefab basin already pitched and boards for the walls. After installing the wedi system we installed tile that was similar to what was existing on the walls in the bath as a wainscot. We added grab bars to make it easier getting in and out for the elderly. The floor we put in ceramic mosiacs 2 x 2 to make it a non slip surface on the shower floor.
